“Introducing effective measures to reduce any health hazard”
Approved Inspection Authority
To ensure that a working environment is safe and doesn’t pose any risks to the health of employees, employers must assess the exposure of their employees to hazardous environmental conditions in the workplace. As per the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act No. 85 of 1993) this includes measuring employees’ exposure, comparing the results with prescribed standards and implementing the steps needed to comply with the provisions of the aforementioned Act. This process is known as ‘monitoring’ and should be undertaken by an Approved Inspection Authority (AIA).
Aspirata utilizes NOSA who is an accredited Inspection Body and act as a Department of Labor Approved Inspection Authority (AIA)
We assist clients with risk assessments/monitoring surveys in the following occupational hygiene fields:
- Hazardous chemical substances (dust, vapour, gas, mist and aerosols)
- Hazardous Biological Agents
- Thermal stress
- Ventilation/Indoor Air Quality
We play a pivotal role in providing assistance to our clients by conducting full risk assessments and evaluating the results to determine cost-effective measures to reduce any health hazard to an acceptable level as per legislative requirements.
